Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges

The first day of your 4-day desert tour with Admirable Morocco Tours will start with pick up from your hotel in Marrakech and drive through the Atlas Mountains we’ll make stops along the way to take the pictures and get closer to the beautiful landscapes and authentic Berber villages. We’ll continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou a 16th-century fortress classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and many famous films were recorded there such as (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, the kingdom of heaven …) .Then we’ll drive to Ouarzazate where we’ll stop at film studios and Kasbah Taourirt then we will go to Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses through the fascinating palm grove of Skoura, where numerous ancient kasbahs stand out among the palm trees. Dinner and overnight at hotel/riad in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Camel trek and a night at Merzouga desert camp

After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll drive towards Tinghir and Todra Gorge where we will have time to walk inside the gorge. We will pass by Tinjdad, Touroug where we’ll stop for lunch and the city of Erfoud to reach Merzouga “Erg Chebbi desert”. After a cup of mint tea, we will ride a camel for 1 hour to enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset over the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. After a delicious dinner, you will have the chance to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the stars. We will spend the night in a nomadic Berber tent.

Day 3: 4x4 Tour to explore Erg Chebbi desert area

This morning we recommended you to awake up to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunrises you have even seen on top of the dune near the camp, after having breakfast and shower at the camp you can come back either by camels or 4WD drive to the original started location where you will meet your driver and start your 4×4 excursion to explore all interesting sites around the Erg Chebbi desert such as the Berber nomad families, M’ifis fossils mines, Khamlia village where you will see the dark skin people playing their traditional Gnawa music, seasonal Dayt Srij, Oasis, panoramic views…after lunch we’ll head back to the hotel in Merzouga where you will spend the night.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt - Cedar forest – Ifrane – Fes

After having breakfast at your hotel in Merzouga we will continue our trip towards Fes via Ziz Valley for panoramic view from the valley and Aoufous village before traveling through the Middle atlas mountains with a stop at the town of Medilt where you will have lunch. In the afternoon we’ll continue to cedar forest where we’ll stop to see monkeys in their natural habits then we’ll head to Fes via Ifrane arrival in the late afternoon drop you off at your hotel/riad and our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes end.
