6 days Walking tour by camel in the Mahamid El Ghazlan Desert

Day 1 : Mhamid - Sidi Naji Marabout

We meet in Mhamid town , whether you spend the night in before or we meet in the morning, Introduce you to your guides and camels for the next days. Our caravan starts out from MHamid towards Sidi Naji shrine. We walk for three hours before we have our lunch break. You enjoy the stillness of the Sahara in the shade of the tamarisk trees with a cup of tea and a handful of nuts. After lunch, our path continues for two and a half hours to the dunes of Sidi Naji. While the guides unload the camels and set up the tents, you explore the surroundings and experience the sunset with its colorful display in the desert. Spending the night in Sidi Naji under a canopy of stars and enjoying the nomad stories .

Day 2 : Sidi Naji - Erg Zahar dunes

Having had your breakfast after waking up to see how beautifully the sun rises . Our eyes on the high dunes of Zahar, we hike through the vast landscapes. We take our lunch break in the shade of the trees after about three hours. After another walk, we reach the singing dunes of Erg Zahar. While our nomad guides set up the camp, you climb one of the highest dunes of Morocco and gaze at the overwhelming view.

Day 3 : Erg Zahar - Erg Smar

We commence the day fully rested with a three hour hike. Enjoy walking aside the dry draa valley - The longest valley in Morocco .The area of Erg Smar in front of us is a fertile land before .

It is a relaxing day , exploring the surroundings of Erg Smar area.

Day 4 : Erg Smar Oasis - Bougarn

You commence the day fully rested, enjoying the atmosphere at sunrise. We continue our journey towards one of the isolated dunes of Bougarn , having a halt and a lunch ,after you have three hours walk through beautiful desert landscapes. The dunes, up to 100 meters high, invite you to gaze at the beautiful sunset in the evening. Setting up the camp and enjoy another beautiful night with nomads .

Day 5 : Bougarn - kryaat Jmal ( the feet of camels )

Today we continue walking towards the direction of Mhamid EL Ghizlane or what is known as - the plain of gazelles .after 3 hours of walk , stepping thanks to your own rhythm. We set up our camp in the middle of nowhere, enjoy the last night with nomads under a blanket of stars .

Overnight in the kryaat Jmal or the feet of camels .

Day 6 : Kryaat Jmal - Mhamid

Having had your breakfast, we continue towards Mhamid where we have started . After our morning walk about 3 hours and settle down for our last lunch. We continue to Mhamid where you can have a shower after a really worthy doable 6 days trek
