DAY 1: Marrackech-Ouarzazate-Agdez
Departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the Atlas mountains where you will cross the Tichka pass (the highest pass in North Africa, which rises to 2260 m).
On the road you can make stops in Berber villages and you can take advantage of the beautiful panoramic views to take pictures.
Around noon we arrive in AITBENHADDOU, a village classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is also a place where many films have been filmed, namely Gladiator, The Mummy, Asterix and Obelix Cléopatre, … We will take you on a tour of this beautiful Kasbah before eating. You can enjoy a local meal (optional) served in a typical restaurant.
After your meal we will continue our journey to the beautiful city of Ouarzazate.
One of the doors to the southern oases and the desert, known for its kasbahs and film studios (considered the largest studios in Africa).
On your way, you will also cross the mountains of the anti-Atlas to descend to the Draa valley, an old caravan route.
In the evening we will arrive in Agdez, a former resting place for caravanners, we will spend the night here.
DAY 2: Agdez-Vallée du Draa - Désert de Chegaga
After enjoying your breakfast, you will continue your adventure via the Draa valley, the town of Zagora and the village of Tamegroute where you can see the making of traditional pottery before arriving at the village of Mhamid el ghizlane, the last village before the Sahara desert, where the asphalt road ends, and where the great adventure begins by penetrating the erg and reg dunes to arrive at the dunes of CHEGAGA where you will spend the night in a well-equipped bivouac.
DAY 3 : Chegaga -Foum Zguid-Tazenakht - Marrakech
After enjoying your breakfast you will join your vehicle to return to Marrakech through the village of Tazenakht where you can visit a cooperative of Berber women who weave and embroider beautiful rugs.
After lunch, we return directly to Marrakech.
