DAY 1 : Marrakech -Casablanca – Rabat
Departure from Marrakech to Casablanca (economic capital of Morocco and the largest city in the kingdom), where we will start by visiting the corniche of Ain Diab, we will also visit the HASSAN2 mosque, one of the largest religious constructions in the world, then the MOHAMED square 5 before taking the road to the administrative capital of the country.
On entering Rabat, we will start the visit with the BAB CHELLAH (listed as a UNESCO heritage site), then we will visit the mausoleum of Mohamed5, the HASSAN tower and the Oudaya kasbah, the Mechouar “optional royal palace” overnight at Rabat
DAY 2 : Rabat – Chefchaouen
After having enjoyed our breakfast, we will take the road to the most beautiful city of the Moroccan Rif « Chefchaouen » with its beautiful alleys and buildings of an Andalusian-Muslim style built in the 15th century. All the facades of the houses are painted blue, which gives this city a unique character. You will be able to take advantage of your free time to explore the labyrinths of its beautiful alleys, overnight in Chefchaouen.
DAY 3 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
Departure from Chefchaouen via the Rif mountains towards the Roman city « VOLUBILIS », an archaeological site which dates from the 3rd century BC. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On your arrival, an archaeological guide will be present to give you a guided tour of this magnificent place. We will then continue to Meknes, the 1st capital of the ALAOUITE dynasty (between 1672 and 1727), it is one of the four imperial cities of the kingdom classified as world heritage, you can admire the architectural richness of its ramparts, its beautiful doors such as BAB ALMANSOUR… In the evening we return to FEZ and the night is spent at FEZ.
DAY 4 : FEZ visite de la ville
FES is the oldest imperial city in Morocco (it dates from around the 12th century), it is the spiritual capital of the country. The guided tour will take you to discover its ramparts, palaces, gardens, medina and tanners. overnight stay in FES
DAY 5 : Fez – Merzouga
We will start the day with a visit to the town of Ifrane, nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco, which is located at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will then go to see the cedar forest of GOUROU before taking the road to Merzouga through the Ziz valley, and the city of minerals « ERFOUD ». When we arrive in the desert, we can enjoy a camel trek to feel the charm of a sunset over the desert before settling in the bivouac, where we will spend the night in nomadic and Berber tents. .
DAY 6 : Merzouga – Rissani – Gorges de Toughda – Dades
This day will begin with a visit to the village of Rissani, one of the oldest villages in southern Morocco, which was marked by the birth of the Alaouite dynasty.
We will visit a mineral exhibition before arriving in the Toudgha Gorge (the highest gorges in Morocco) free time is provided for you to explore before continuing to Dades and overnight will be in Dades.
DAY 7 : Dades – Ouarzazate – Aitbenhaddou – Marrakech
The 7th day begins with the visit of the valley of roses, we will take the opportunity to visit a cooperative of distillation of derivatives of roses, then the kasbah Amredil in Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate nicknamed the Hollywood of Africa thanks to its studios cinematographic (about ten films were shot in this region, namely gladiator, the mummy,…) lunch in Ouarzazate.
In the afternoon we will visit the site of Aitbenhaddou a village classified as a historical heritage by UNESCO, in the evening we arrive in Marrakech via the tichka pass, the highest passage in North Africa which rises to 2260m.
Our journey will unfortunately end here.
NOTE: the visit of Marrakech can be included in an 8th day.
