DAY 1 : Marrakech-Aitbenhaddou -Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the beautiful road of the High Atlas mountains, where the landscape is magnificent, rich in greenery and Berber villages in adobe.
On the road we will make stops to enjoy the magnificent typical landscapes, you can take the opportunity to take photos before arriving at the Tichka pass, which rises to 2260 meters above sea level. It is considered to be the highest passage in North Africa.
Then we join the old caravan route before arriving at the Kasbah of Telouet, a former residence of the Glaoui family.
We have lunch in AITBENHADDOU before visiting this site, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and which is also a shooting area for famous films (Gladiator, Laurence D’Arabie,…).
In the afternoon we take the road back to Ouarzazate, a city known for its kasbah, ksour and film studios, you will have time to visit the studios and the kasbah of Taourirte (optional), overnight in Ouarzazate.
DAY 2 : Ouarzazate-Vallée de Draa -Zagora
After breakfast, we will take the road to Zagora and the Draa valley, where you can hike in the Draa palm grove and its kasbahs before arriving at Tamegroute for the visit of the old Koranic school and the village where The ALMORAVID AND SAADIEN dynasties were born, then we will end the day with a visit to a workshop for the manufacture of traditional pottery. DAY 3 : Zagora-Alnif-Rissani-Merzouga
We will start the day by visiting the village of RISSANI, the place which marked the birth of the current dynasty of the ALAOUITES in the 17th century, we will visit its souk, the mausoleum of the founder of this dynasty, then we will continue our way to Merzouga , a desert known for its beautiful dunes.
You can watch an unforgettable sunset there, before spending the night in Berber tents in the middle of the desert.
DAY 4 : Merzouga-Erfoud-Tinghir
After enjoying the desert, and its beautiful sunrise, we will take the road to the town of Erfoud, a small town known for its mineral and fossil quarries.
You will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition of minerals and discover the work of marble before continuing to Tineghir, on the way we will stop to visit one of the KHETTARA “old irrigation system”, then the Toudgha gorges which are the highest gorges in Morocco. Overnight at TINGHIR.
DAY 5 : Tinghir - Vallée des roses - Skoura - Marrakech
We will start with a visit to a rose distillation cooperative to discover its different derivatives, then head to SKOURA, a beautiful palm grove in which the Kasbah Amredil is built, a building rich in architecture that deserves to be visited, we return to Marrakech in the evening.
